The announced re-opening of Three Mile Island nuclear facility in the United States has re-ignited the nuclear industry. The plant is set to re-open following a deal between its owner, Constellation Energy, and power-hungry Microsoft that is in search for lower-emission energy. We expect this to be the first of many projects looking to source cleaner energy from this “forgotten” power reserve and bring front of mind the potential of de-commissioned nuclear facilities. We continue to remain bullish on uranium companies and nuclear facilities’ servicers, anticipating high demand as the world looks to add more nuclear to the (clean) energy mix.
